WarriorFish
Comrades of the Imperial Guard, I bear a message from High Command of the utmost importance: our great Lord Commander Brother Argos is stepping down after many years of leadership. Please read his topic in the News section to learn more and pass on any messages you may have. In case you were unaware his stewardship of the B&C also involves funding the site, so it now falls to us to maintain the costs required to keep the B&C as good as it is. Let us show our appreciation for all that Argos has done by keeping the B&C the best place around to discuss humanity in the 41st Millennium. For those who do have a bit of spare money around please consider throwing some in the pot - just like ETL vows every little bit counts and is appreciated. All it takes is for enough people to put a little bit in every so often and the B&C's future is assured, with so many active members this shouldn't be a problem. For our part we must show that the Emperor's hammer can never be found wanting and do our share. It is easy to think others will do it for you, but here in the Guard we know the true might of what happens when many small parts combine as one. For Him on Terra and the glory of the B&C! edit: the donation box is on the right hand column on the B&C main page. If you have hidden the additional column as I have there's a small grey box to reveal it again faded out in the top right. march10k
And how does one contribute? Er, nevermind, it's linked in the link! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291877-brother-argos-is-stepping-down/#findComment-3706306 Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
Well, as would be expected of nobility, House Ravenholdt will show it's support to the Imprium and B&C. None shall find us wanting. Will this become a permanent thing or just a intermediate phase until a new admin and paymaster are found? WarriorFish
It is possible that someone could directly take over, but I'm sure our community can fund the running costs through donation in the future :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291877-brother-argos-is-stepping-down/#findComment-3708882 Share on other sites
Frater Cornelius
Well, if we take the current figures of 250$pm and extrapolate to around 3000$pa. That should be around 2205€ for us European dwellers. Given the amount of *active* users here 10$ or 7€ a head pa should be more than possible to keep B&C running. Unless you are in financial troubles and can't spare a dime, most should be able to contribute. Edit: pm = per month; pa = per annum (per year), just in case before people are confused ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291877-brother-argos-is-stepping-down/#findComment-3708901 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
Indeed, it is very much possible without anyone breaking the bank We're on the home stretch for donations now, well done and thank you to all troopers who have heeded the call, noble sacrifice like this is what the Guard is made of - but we can't rest until we meet the threshold! Remember every little helps, you don't need to put much in and you don't need to tell people the amount - or even that you donated at all. The B&C is our home, let's make sure it's still here in the future Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/291877-brother-argos-is-stepping-down/#findComment-3708986 Share on other sites
