Castrmen Orth
Hi guys so seeing as i am lookin to take the plunge and start a heresy iron hands army when things start to improve health wise i was just curious about somethin. If i bought massacre to get all the fluff etc of the iron hands would i also need betrayal to run a list or is the relevant information in massacre. Cheers in advance brothers Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292018-massacre/ Share on other sites
Balthamal
Previously this was the case, now you can buy the separate army books that just have the lists present. This will save you a bucket of money as you only want the units (the generic units from all 3 volumes are included and updated) and whatever legion specific stuff you want will be found in massacre. Personally I'd take the plunge and the the Istvaan Campaign Legions book too. Lugging Massacre around will get tedious after a while trust me Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292018-massacre/#findComment-3709053 Share on other sites
Castrmen Orth
Ah that sounds good. So its massacre for fluffy reasons and gorgeous art and the two cheaper red books for gaming etc. I mean I'll prob go nuts eventually because the books are gorgeous but for now i want to be focused on my hands would Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292018-massacre/#findComment-3709059 Share on other sites
Balthamal
Eventually you'll buy them all because they're that good that not owning them means you're missing out. But if it's just gaming you're after in the shorter term that option is available to you as well Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292018-massacre/#findComment-3709100 Share on other sites

grand_master85
The Istvaan Campaign Legions book has updated rules for various Legions. As far as I am aware, the only difference with the Iron Hands rules are that the Immortals Squads have a 5+ FNP save instead of the original 6+ FNP. OwlandMoonGuy
Personally, I'd like to take this moment to thank you, Spearhead Commander Orth, for your admirable tabletop performance that have led my IH to victory on many a basement game day. And I'd also like to thank the pit crew of the Black Sun and all those others who tirelessly keep the treads turning and the big gun's firing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v699/OwlandMoonGuy/30K%20Iron%20Hands/IMG_1544_zpsb9624748.jpg It's too bad that you're too low on the IH Org chart to have Master of the Legion but that's ok, you too can share in the Medusan encirclement as long as a Praetor or our beloved primarch himself is on-hand. Always happy to see another Hands player join the ranks. And should I take it that your list will include Orth as well? Given a Sircaran and additional support he can be pretty merciless.
