The Lions Avenger
In the next few weeks I will be playing a 750-1000 pts against a tau army. Which I've never faced and is the exact opposite of most of my opponents. I normally have opponents trying to get into CC so I use heavy firepower to shredd their numbers before they get to me. Would it be better to focus on taking assault squads? Just to close the gap quicker than my other units, or would deep striking and drop pods be a more viable option? Please anybody have any tactics? He doesn't have a big army, just a fire warrior squad, pathfinders, 1 set of crisis suits, sniper drones and a hammerhead. But he is in the process of building a riptide which should be ready in time for our battle.
