johnyocum
That all depends on what the rest of your force is. Ravenwing automatically come with a teleport homer. Drop Pods can have locator beacons. Both are reasonable ways to prevent scatter. Or, you can leave the 2nd squad in 'normal' reserves and Deathwing Assault on your first turn with Belial, so the other squad can home in on Belial when they become available. A lot of how you reduce/remove scatter for that non-Belial squad will depend on what you bring and your play style. ZONKEY
I always keep my ravenwing wing in reserve to prevent first turn destruction I don't have access to drop pods yet Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292223-when-is-best-to-deploy-a-second-deathwing-unit/#findComment-3713026 Share on other sites
Aegnor
Sometimes I also just live dangerously and risk the scatter in an area that looks big enough. Tend to stick Belial in the squad with a heavy flamer as that is more susceptible to being useless with a bad scatter roll. SnakeChisler
The Ravenwing got buffed in 7th you can now declare to jinx without moving throw in a Dark Shroud and on a 3+ save even at the start, penalty is your snap shotting the unit but its a lot better than having to keep your forces completely off the board. Drip feeding units on can work but generally all your doing is providing more focus for your opponent especially with Terminator units who need backup and fire support straight out of the blocks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292223-when-is-best-to-deploy-a-second-deathwing-unit/#findComment-3713236 Share on other sites
FlamingDeth
Another option is an allied inquisitor with servoskulls to help with the scatter.
