tjdudey
Hi Guys, I need some combi-flamers, for some Wolf Guard I have in a campaign. Where is the best place to buy them, or is there any good advice for converting them? Squark
A lot of codex marine players will have extra flamers- You should be able to trade for them and use a boltgun or stormbolter as a base for the combi-flamer. alternatively, they should have extra combi-flamers from sternguard and the new tactical box. Hand flamers also make good conversion bits, if you have blood angels players with spares. Leif Bearclaw
There's the FW Tigrus pattern set: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/New_Stuff/LEGION_COMBI-WEAPONS.html Also, there's a some pretty good conversions lurking around in a WIP somewhere on the forum, but I can't for the life of me remember whose. Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
Seriously, I bought 2 of the new Sternguard kits for the bits. There is 2 of each combi available in them and some really cool sculpts too!! Fleabay has some for fairly cheap, but it's probably cheaper to convert them yourself. I like the bolt gun cut just under the barrel casing and mounted on top of a Flamer. But I went with the Sternguard ones, as I said. skeletoro
i wouldn't recommend converting your own unless you really want to. The last year or so have seen a proliferation of good options for combi weapons so it's probably worth it just buying them. Here's what i can think of: Forge world: character conversion set has 1 stacked type (and some other really nice bits imo) terminator special weapons has 2 tigrus, side by side, midular combi weapons legion tartaros special has the same legion cataphractii special has same but phobos and old school flamer style. legion comnu weapons pack has 5 plas, 5 melt, 5 flamer, all stacked type and tigrua.best value if you like em GW: STERBGUARD HAS 2 OF EACH, STACJED TACTICAL HAS ONE, STACKED, MODULAR. FOR YHE WOLF GUARD I THIBK MODULAR IS WORTH IT BECAUSE YOU CAM MAGNETIZE THEM. BUT YPU NEED A VERY SPEADY HAND AND/OR A DREMEL FOR SOME OF THOSE BITA. THE SIDE BY SIDE MODULAR ONEA RE VERY THIN, SO YOU NEED TO BE VERY RESOURCEFUL TO SUCCEAFULLYAGNETIZE EM. UGH, phone fail. Will edit for clarity later when i am on tablet :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292282-combi-flamer-help/#findComment-3714894 Share on other sites
Thunderhawk3015
New Tac squad has one that is modular for all the new C:SM combi weapons. There is the Sternguard kit from GW, or the FW kit. Failing that, conversions are another good route as most people don't use their flamers so your local group should have an excess. Fytharin
Personally I wanted to make a wolfy looking combi-flamer so I combined a normal flamer with a rather SW looking boltgun. You can see it on my WIP page here: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/258324-fyths-wips-thread/page-3 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292282-combi-flamer-help/#findComment-3714913 Share on other sites

Sturm Moonwolf
I chop the barrels off a stormbolter, and add the end of a BA hand flamer to one side and a regular bolter barrel next to it. http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz69/JimKearney/Space%20Wolf%20Army/PART_1402447962267.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292282-combi-flamer-help/#findComment-3715090 Share on other sites

grouj
I actually made my own that look like this http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer-40000/Space_Marines/Space_Marine-Infantry-and-Accessories/SPACE_MARINE_CHARACTER_CONVERSION_SET.html I just took the end portion of a centurion squad flamer and cut the end off of a bolter to make one. Quick and easy and cheap. You should be able to find Centurion flamers on ebay since no one uses the assault variety.
