Quixus
Am I reading this right: 1) there is no more way to wreck a vehicle without causing an explosion unless you go through all the hull points. 1) Without AP 2 or AP 1 you have no chance of getting an "Explodes!" result on the vehicle damage table. So you have to strip all hull points to destroy the vehicle 2) Regardless of the target's armor or the attack's strength you cannot get a chance better than 1/3 (with AP 1 weaponry) to kill the vehicle without going through the hull points. Teetengee
An AP1 weapon against an open topped vehicle will cause an explode half the time. Also Str D. Dam13n
1) Yes, you can only explode a vehicle with an AP1 or AP2 weapon, unless the target is open topped. Vehicle wrecking being down to hull point loss is the same as 6th. 2) AP2 is 1/6 (1/3 against open topped) AP1 is 1/3 (1/2 against open topped). D weapons are a different matter. So anti-tank is now effectively weaker... but you now need dedicated anti-tank weapons if you are to explode a vehicle. It's actually not so much that the weapon is weaker, but that tanks are somewhat stronger against anything that isn't relying on a hull point kill.
