Dragonlover
I know that people usually say 'soak in warm soapy water for a while, scrub, rinse' but does Fairy Power Spray remove it? Feels like it'd be a lot quicker, and I've got a fair amount of stuff to clean up. Chaeron
I would imagine so, yes. Although, I've never found it to be that aggressive. Just a bit of warm soapy water and a very quick scrub has always been fine for any resin model I've used. Dragonlover Yes it does work, but don't leave it on the resin for more than an hour, otherwise it starts to go soft (ie like GW Finecast) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292609-removing-mould-release-agent-question/#findComment-3721419 Share on other sites
Dragonlover
Oh I wouldn't do that, it'd literally be squirt some on, leave it five minutes, scrub off. Cheers guys! Disruptor_fe404
When I was fixing the warping on some Forge World resin pieces by using the hot water dip method, I found that the release agent also came off. Make of that what you will. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292609-removing-mould-release-agent-question/#findComment-3721915 Share on other sites
Adeptus
Maybe I get a bit obsessed with cleaning my resin models, but I always use dishwashing liquid, and sometimes use toothpaste, then another scrub to remove all the soap. I figure, why skimp? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292609-removing-mould-release-agent-question/#findComment-3723488 Share on other sites
Ovidius Incertus
Maybe I get a bit obsessed with cleaning my resin models, but I always use dishwashing liquid, and sometimes use toothpaste, then another scrub to remove all the soap. I figure, why skimp? Me too. I had some horrible primer adhesion, which lead to major paint peelage, from pieces I had washed once, but apparently not quite enough. That really spoils the mood. I soak in Simple Green and then do at least one wash with dish liquid.
