lt051
Took a break from ETL to paint this guy up, not 100% yet but all thats left is going over some of the black spots with metal showing through. Also has a storm bolter arm (he's magnatized), but don't know when I'll get around to painting it. still needs a bigger base too. Sorry for the angle of the pictures, this model leans forward like crazy. C&C welcome. Eddie Orlock
Well, my avatar approves of your base model choice. If you'd searched further afield I recall that vintage hammer arms exist that wouldn't have the scale distortion. Also, technically you could argue that that long barrelled stormbolter is a psycannon, but you'd be a marked man afterward. lt051
That is a psycannon as far as I know, old fluff was it was bolt pistol-ish. And ya didn't really look for a hammer, that one is just made from a nemesis hammer and a old librarian force axe Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292718-my-new-inquisitor-model/#findComment-3724183 Share on other sites
Valerian
Yeah, that old Daemonhunter model is one of my all-time old school favorites. Loved that model. Glad that you've incorporated it into your army. I used to have one myself, but someone absconded with it 15-20 years ago, and I never bothered to replace it afterward. That is a Psycannon, so you don't even need to argue it; it is even labelled as such (Psycannon arm) on the link that you posted, Eddie. I wonder how much those guys are going for on eBay? Maybe I need to find me one, again. V Oh, I would mount him on the larger 40mm base, though. He'll look a lot better, and it'll help him balance, too, because he leans forward and is a little top-heavy and prone to falling over, IIRC. lt051
Ya gonna raise him some and add him to a large base (old TDA is practically power armour size), small base was just for painting. I think I got this guy for like $15 w/shipping on ebay, not bad all things considered. Got 5 RT greyknight models to paint up and use with him too :) The photos don't do the paint much justice, just have my phone for pictures :/ but might try and wash the hammer a little darker, but it's bluer than those pictures let on Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292718-my-new-inquisitor-model/#findComment-3725984 Share on other sites
