Blarrg
So I'm reading Vengeful Spirit and there are quite a few references to enginseers. From what I recall, engineers were still called engineers in all previous books. Enginseer would still be contrary to the anti-religious theme of the Imperium at this stage. Am I tripping or has G McNeill made a boo boo? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292823-enginseer/ Share on other sites
Aegnor
They still have tech priests in 30k,and the belief in the Omnissiah don't they? I think the Mechanicus is exempt from the no religion thing. SFH
The Mechanicum being exempt from the Imperial Truth was explicitly established as part of the Treaty of Mars in Mechanicum (also by Graham McNeill). Virtually every author has noted tech priests at some point, including Dan Abnett and ADB. Blarrg
Cheers. May have to reread Mechanicum. I just don't recall seeing enginseer used before. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292823-enginseer/#findComment-3726659 Share on other sites
Anvilarium
It possibly hasn't been used before. However, Tech Priest most definitely has, and that has just as many religious connotations.
