Emperor's Furor
Will FW eventually implement cultists? I'm splitting my stuff into two so I'll have a loyalist and traitor HH force and I was hoping for my Word BearersI could finally use the Davinite priest. It would be nice if I could use him a long with a horde of cultists as well, kind of like those in Know No Fear. Reyner
I'm hoping Cultists will be added in the Calth book when they get to it. Just so my future Ultramarines can smash them to pieces. Emperor's Furor
For every Ultramarine to fall beneath the feet of a cultist is another humiliation dealt to them, because Cultists are worthless but actual Legionaries are priceless. Reyner
Marines are a bit cheaper when I have 500 worlds to recruit from :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292858-cultists/#findComment-3726905 Share on other sites
Russ Brother 92
It would be interesting if they did but I get the feeling that whilst they may add rules (the same way they intend with the IA) I doubt they'd add models, if they do add some models I'd be inclined to see them nearer the Siege of Terra and Martian Civil War as opposed to Colchis/Shadow Crusade. sitnam
I bet we will atleast see rules with The Calth nook. i'm also fairly fertain we'd see some basic models. I mean WB's already have their place in book 2, which should leave room for a few different forces in the Calth book. perhaps they will be an extension of the IA rules Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292858-cultists/#findComment-3727064 Share on other sites
Dragonkin Arenis
Cultist-related things I'd like to see from FW: Rules? Yes. Models? No. I'm not saying that to be mean, but what's wrong with the Renegades upgrade kit they've released already, or Imperial Guard kits with the aquilas shaved off, or even the cultists included in DV? Visions of Heresy doesn't have a set, uniform look to the cultists (or Warmaster-aligned Imperial Army units) pictured in the book, because each is unique in it's own way, from fire-obsessed madmen to monastic groups bedecked in robes, carrying banners covered in unholy scripture and chanting inhuman tongues, mutated, abhuman militias to whatever Imperial Army regiments serve alongside the Warmaster's forces. I would love that level of customisation for cultists in the Horus Heresy rules, so I can choose to equip them with las/autoguns and carapace armour with optional special rules that allow them to act like Imperial Army troopers, or give them flamers, molotov cocktails and primitive ccw's and claim they are the Fire Cultists of Tharn, or something along those lines. What I'd like to see, rules-wise are massive blobs of cultists that can be anywhere between 20 - 50 models large, so they outnumber (but not necessarily outclass) the Legionnes Astartes, with a huge amount of cheap customisation options, or a few different types of cultist with similar, but unique rules to represent different stereotypes. Just my two penneth. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292858-cultists/#findComment-3727857 Share on other sites
