Kilofix
Which GW Scenery kit can be used to build Necromunda'esq eleveted walkways like the following: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Wargames-Warhammer-40K-Necromunda-Scenery-Masive-Terrain-Set-/201079015626?pt=UK_Toys_Wargames_RL&hash=item2ed13e48ca I'm assmuning multiple sets of the Sanctum Imperialis and Landing Platform would be what's needed? Or, would the Basilica Administratum be better? Thanks for the opinions. Ovidius Incertus
Does it have to be GW? That looks a lot like something from Pegasus Hobbies: http://pegasushobbies.net/catalog/Peg.-Gaming-Accessories/c2/index.html . Especially, which kits can build the stuff seen in 6h Ed. BRB Battles section. Gurth
http://pegasushobbies.net/catalog/Peg.-Gaming-Accessories/c2/index.htmlThose are very good sets for SF wargaming terrain, especially because the parts are designed to click together and come apart again. I’d rate the Platformer as the better of the two, BTW, though it requires a little more work to make usable. Unfortunately the Hexagon and Platformer sets aren’t compatible with each other, and you want to stay away from the Chemical Plant — it’s compatible with (I think) Platformer, but there’s so bloody many parts in it that you’ll tire of it even before you’ve got them all from the sprues, never mind painted. Still curious about the GW stuff though. Especially, which kits can build the stuff seen in 6h Ed. BRB Battles section. Those all look like they were made from the various GW building kits released around the time of Cities of Death, plus landing pads and assorted other kits. WingsOfTheFalcon
I've heard of people building them for Necromunda using the Modular Movement Trays. averykess
The pictured auction is produced by the seller of that auction, Wargames Tournaments. It is all laser cut mdf from their mm Sci-Fi Industrial Terrain line. Trying to make something that covers the same amount of table with GW only parts would be much more expensive. Their website is: http://www.wargamestournaments.com/acatalog/Terrain_and_Scenery_.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292886-which-gw-scenery-kit-for-elevated-walkways/#findComment-3727979 Share on other sites
SW1
The closest GWS stuff is the old necromunda bulkheads and thick card or 1.5mm plasticard. Seahawk
- Support legs from the landing platform - Floors from any Citadel building - Parapets from any Citadel building And that's how you make it. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292886-which-gw-scenery-kit-for-elevated-walkways/#findComment-3729341 Share on other sites
Kierdale
Yes, as Seahawk said. I think it's GW Metrocenter (up north in the UK) that has an underhive board ('Metromunda', naturally) made from all the various GW buildings and uses a lot of landing pads as junctions, and their support legs holding everything up. They did something similar to recreate Space Hulk boards too. Photos should be in their FB Gallery. Kilofix
Anyone know which Citadel building has the most 'floors'? Thanks! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292886-which-gw-scenery-kit-for-elevated-walkways/#findComment-3729630 Share on other sites
treadhead
department of outrageous pricing and on a slightly less humourous (but more on topic) note i'd have to say the sector house (assuming availabitlity is the best bet for price as i think it's 3 or 4 boxes worth Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292886-which-gw-scenery-kit-for-elevated-walkways/#findComment-3729635 Share on other sites
Gurth
Anyone know which Citadel building has the most 'floors'? Thanks! If you want lots of textured floors, you’d be better off using either one of the Hexagon/Platformer sets, or buying plastic card that comes with tiles already engraved on it — Evergreen, for one, sells this, and if it’s too thin for your needs, just laminate it with thicker, plain plastic card. For the price of one GW building kit you can probably cover a moderate-sized room's floor in plastic card. For the price of one GW building kit you can probably cover a moderate-sized room's floor in plastic card. The Evergreen 1/2" Square Tile sheets would make great techno walkways. The sheets come 6" x 12". Snap them apart into 2" wide strips and you have 36" of walkway for ~$6.59. dress it up with some sides/edges and maybe some structure and supports underneath.
