building a good terminator company master

What do you mean? It's right there under the options he can take on page 93?

My bad, I was looking at the entry in page 91 not at the CM on page 93. ;)

As shabbadoo said, he already has an Iron halo, so there's no urgent need in giving him further protection, but if you have the spare points, why not...

I like that loadout.  Wounds most things on 2s and kills MEQs, kills Chaos even better.  Blind change kind of screwed us but oh well.

I seldom use a terminator Company Master since Artificer armor basically saves you the points to buy the Storm Shield "guilt free".  Not to mention you basically lose an attack since you trade in your bolt pistol.  But I myself went all out with my Terminator CM and gave him the boondoggle of boondoggles, the MONSTER SLAYER OF CALIBAN.  Don't forget a Perfidious Relic for good measure also!

I'll confess that I went TDA, Storm shield and mace of redemption for about 3 reasons:

1 - Rule of cool

2 - Means he can teleport in with Deathwing knights/others.

3- Means I can use him as a stand in for another DWK if i need him to be.

He's my dark knight.  He's whatever I need him to be ;)

Why so serious..?

Sorry, can't help myself with Batman references!

My more relevant point is since when did Mace = Cool!? Or does the Mace of Redemption do something cool?

Here's my company master in TDA build:

Belial.  Done and done.  Seriously, why not have superscoring deathwing and superscoring land raiders if you're playing around with TDA?  And if you're taking a second TDA character, a TDAIC is so much better than a captain!  JMHO, YMMV.
