Knight of the Raven
I bought one pot when it first came out and it dried up within one week. How can I avoid this happening again? JeffTibbetts
You mean dried completely? Mine is a bit drier than when I bought it, but I think it actually works better for me this way. It's more like a paste that you scoop on as opposed to something you'd try to brush on. I think the idea came to me from the new GW sculpting tools, with the plastic shovel end. They recommend using it for LGS and texture paint. I've had some success with using LGS like that, almost like a spackling compound. I scoop it on with the blade of my hobby knife and then scrape across the surface with same. If it completely dried up, you got a bad pot or something. Knight of the Raven
Yep, dry as a desert. I know leaving superglue out of the sunlight (and even into a fridge) helps making it last longer, would the same apply to liquid green stuff? averykess
I absolutely hate liquid green stuff. I got a bottle when it first came out, I think it is still good. I've used it twice. The real problem I have with LGS is that is sands like crap. Regular Green Stuff is great for building detail in, but for gap/seam filling, go for a putty. I get much better results with Squadron Green Putty thinned with a bit of acetone or Tamiya white putty. Of course you have to be willing to work with slightly flammable/hazardous materials, but that is usually the case if you want the good results. PM me your address if you are in the US, I'll send you my bottle of LGS if it is still good (I'll have to check). My only gripe is that it's a bit too sticky and loose, so it can be hard to get it where I want it. In areas that are tough to sand it's not the best option, I've found. Is that Squadron stuff maybe a good alternative for these situations? CoffeeGrunt
My pot's still good. Have yet to find a decent use for the stuff, but it's still liquid. Tamiya grey putty is better than the white. Aves Apoxie is supposed to be awesome, but I haven't gotten any yet.
