Custodian Athiair
The topic heading may be a little confusing - google couldn't help me with a search of similar wording. Basically what I'm looking for is any amazing unheard of (non-GW employees) artists who have done some cool 40K artwork. I'm open to all kinds. I'm looking for some artwork to be used as posters for my new house. I will state I am only using images (so far) that have been posted on sites like deviantart which I believe are acceptable to take off the internet and use - please correct me if I am wrong. Artists which are on this forum have done some really good stuff, but it is difficult to find. Thanks to everyone, and any question for further clarification (I'm not famous for my clear wording) I will answer Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292962-good-original-warhammer-40k-artwork/ Share on other sites
David Ravel
It's not 40k per say, but it was influenced by both Sisters of Battle and WHFB. http://vorace-art.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Victoire_HR.jpg The artist is Nicolas Francoeur http://vorace-art.com/ I ordered some of his work on canvas, and it looks stunning. Also I play with someone with great skills in artwork of 40k universe : http://eupackardia.deviantart.com/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/292962-good-original-warhammer-40k-artwork/#findComment-3729337 Share on other sites

Disruptor_fe404
When you say 'non-GW employees', do you actually mean 'artists who haven't been commisioned by GW but do GW fanart'? Because technically, none of the Codex (and Supplement) cover art done so far has been done by a GW employee. And IIRC, a whole lot of FFG art is commissioned rather than in-house. Assuming that you do mean that, I think posters of Aerion (the Faithful)'s work would be awesome; though again, some of his stuff might be commission-only and therefore not be reproducible (is that a word?). Knight of the Raven
Whether the pictures there are official or original is rarely specified, but this thread might help you. By "non-GW employees" I mean stuff that isn't in Codex's/Rulebooks/Novels etc. I assume Aerion is a poster on this forum, or is he on deviantart. Disruptor_fe404
I assume Aerion is a poster on this forum, or is he on deviantart. Both! EDIT: Also, the 'More from Deviantart' tab down the side is generally good too.
