Crowe - Getting it done!

Love him or hate him, Crowe does have a nice mini. ;)

 

Plus Purifiers now have swag.

 

But his rules are bad. :(  So how can we enable him to get it done?

 

Stronghold Assault. ;)

 

Pick an Imperial Bunker (55) and deploy it right at the edge of your DZ.  Purchase an Emergency Escape Hatch for it (25) and place that 12" away, as close to your opponent as possible.

 

Now, you can start with Crowe in the Bunker, and a Squad of Devestator Centurion on the Battlements.

 

First turn, Crowe disembarks via the Emergency Hatch, and moves 18" in total toward the enemy.

 

And Novas.

 

Your Centurion then embark the Bunker from the Battlements and all 4 of them use the fire point.

Haha all that effort for 1 nova? That'll probably roll double 1 for shots haha.

Crowe is just dead in my opinion, he's basically an even more useless version of the brother champion that has a stupid 'I'm a loner and everyone hates me'sword lol.

It would appear that the restriction on IC's joining Crowe has been removed. Atleast know he can have a body guard. Who would you guys use. Im thinking OMI with TDA and Psycannon or techmarine packing all the grenades

I still wouldn't take Crowe, he only has 1 wound and his heroic sacrifice psychic ability is no more. If I had to chose though, I would pick a posse of inquisitors with various weapons and grenades.

but my fix would also make him able to maintain himself in any challenge.   it would drop the restriction on rapier strike to enable it to kersplat sargeants and shas'whathaveyous as well as captains and commanders

Rapier Strike definitely needs to change to affect regular 'characters' and not just 'independent characters'. I'm frankly surprised they didn't Errata/Amend this back when 6e dropped and introduced the challenge system.

as far as tournaments go they all use Force org still...noone uses unbound that i have heard of

 

and yeh used crowe the other day...charged him into the demons bull riding squad (cant remember the name lol)...kill 2 of them to shooting so only one of them left and he stayed there tanking him the whole game...1 attack per base model is :cuss...should be 2 attacks per base model capped at like 6 attacks or something...or giveing him independant would fix most of it ofc...

 

i reckon that you give him base attacks...then add on any modifiers, like models in base contact or the D3 against independant/MC/Psyker and it would fix alot of his shotcomings...

 

the idea with the imperial bunker is awesome...give you a place to hide that shooty henchmen unit...or the vindicare/dreadnought...and then crowe pops out in the middle of the enemy...its a way to force them to castle away from the hatch too just make sure you have some blasts :)
