Renegade Chapters and their schemes

Recommended Posts

Is it me or is there a distinct lack of Renegade Chapters that keep hold of their original colours? I mean is it just me or do most just simply turn red or pink etc depending on the god they favour. I'd really love it if Games Workshop came out with more original schemes that work, I've been trying to imagine some schemes but when ever I try to transplant them on to actual models I don't think my skills quite live up to my imagination.

Children of Purgatos. Bright green with gold trim. Violators with a blue-ish purple. Then there are those guys with black armor and bright, neon green flames. Brotherhood of Shadows with black armor, red trim and gold writing all over. There's also the Company of Misery, who have red armor with black flames, I think it was. Or was it the other way around? And the Knights of blood. Bottom half black. Top half red and where the two colors meet, the red is supposed to look like dripping blood.

But yes, many go with the "simple colors" because, well they're simple. And CSM models have a ton of trim. Like seriously, a ton. It's mind boggling why they need so much. But on the other hand, a lot of those "simple colors" can be used to decorate the armor in many creative ways.
