Help me validate my Tempestus list

I'm planning a set of Allied Deep Striking MT Detachments to take out Heavy and Light vehicles 'behind enemy lines'. To facilitate such, I'd like to squeeze in as much Plasma and Melta as I can, as well as taking advantage of the "Directed Firestorm" Order or Psychic Prescience when using the former.

Hoping folks can help me validate both the optimal config and legality of my lists.

Here's what I'm thinking:

1 x IG Primary Detachment with Warlord and 'a bunch of stuff'

3 x MT Allied Detachments - EACH with:

  • 1 x MT Command with 3 Plasma, 1 Medi-Pak, Tempestor w/1 Power Fist and Plasma Pistol
  • 1 x MT Squad with 2 Melta, Tempestor w1 Power Fist and Plasma Pistol

1 x Inquisitorial Detachment - with:

  • 2 x Ordo Malleus in Terminator Armor, Psycannon and Servo Skulls - these will attach to and Deep Strike with the MT Squads for some extra psychic ability (will roll to try to get Perfect Timing, else will stick with Prescience), durability & hitting power, using the Skulls to reduce scatter where possible
  • 3 x Henchmen
  • 3 x Henchmen

Questions:

A. I'm assuming its legal to have 3 x MT Allied Detachments - each with 1 HQ and 1 Troop?

B. I'm assuming its legal to have my OM TDAs attach to and Deep Strike with the MT Squads?

C. Is there a way to squeeze in another OM to attach to my 3rd MT Squad? I'm assuming the only way is to also take a GK Allied Detachment but I'll need Coteaz and 3 Henchmen or a GK Strike Squad in addition to the 3rd OM

D. Should I swap and equip the MT Command with Meltas and the MT Squad with Plasma? Or should I mix Plasma and Melta across units?

Feedback welcome and desired - thanks!

A - From how I interpret the new army composition rules, yes. You can have 3 allied detachments as there seems to be no limits on the number of detachments now and although there are the weird faction restrictions, it only says the allied detachment must have a different faction to your primary detachment. Nothing about having 3 allied detachments of the same faction.

B - I believe so as they are Battle Brothers. And they can Deep Strike together as they may be in the same squad and all have the Deep Strike Special Rule.

C - Don't have Codex: Inquisition so cannot answer this one mate.

D - Up to you really. Personally I would give the Command Squads meltas as they can cope with combat/being up close slightly better due to Tempestor Primes higher stats, whereas the normal scions are better for shooting (can get more shots out) so would give them Plasma Guns. Although it could be argued that the way you have it is better so the CS can hang back and give orders so it is what you would prefer. Would not mix though, I personally prefer specialised roles.

Another option would be to give the Plasma's to whichever squad you will give the directed firestorm orders to to maximise the potential of twin-linked as plasma's get more shots and the re-roll can avoid Gets Hot!

This is just my opinion though, not played 7th yet and my Scion models are used as Carapace Vets so have no experience with Scions so hopefully someone could advise better as I'm going on what I have learnt from studying the new rules and codex's.

Scions have been fantastic! I personally have 2 x 10 man squads with two meltas and 1 x ccs with 4 x plasma. The Melta squads ride in Taurox primes which I normally place in reserve, whilst the ccs rides in my vendetta/valk. If you're lucky enough to get the outflank warlord trait from the guard codex it also works really well with the Scions.
