Brother-Chaplain Kage
Phobos and Umbra were both originally made on Mars and distributed to other Forge Worlds as the Great Crusade pushed outward. The Tigrus was found in an STC on the world Tigrus shortly before the Heresy began. Like the other patterns, it was similarly distributed to other Forge Worlds for manufacture. GrandMagnus
Im going to use phobos simply because it looks like a REAL bolter, like the Godwin bolter (the regular one from GW). But Im not a fan of the bayonets, bolters are too short and stubby to use with bayonets it would be easier to use it as a club and just beat the enemy to death with it. Dragonkin Arenis
I genuinely love bayonets and I have no issues with them on bolters. The pattern of boltgun used by a force would normally be decided by the commander, the preferences of the marines or the availability of certain patterns. If there is a large supply of phobos-pattern bolters available, then they'd most likely use them. Of course, as the Heresy wore on there would probably be a mix of bolter patterns within a squad, especially if there are few chances to resupply. Just my two penneth. Nova_chron
I like the blades not sure how I feel about the chain bayonets my question is would that be countable as extra CCweapon? Armond
Yes I believe they count, at least I have been told that they do. Dragonkin Arenis
I don't see why the chain-bayonets can't be used as an extra ccw. If it comes with the model/parts, surely it's a legal choice for the option? tdemayo
I never bother representing the extra chainsword on models that have bolter, bolt pistol and chainsword. (For example with Wolves or Chaos in 40k). No more than I represent the bolt pistol everyone has, but doesn't usually use. It's not strictly WYSIWYG, but I usually only represent the main armament. Nova_chron
Mostly wondering because if I play world eaters the chain axes have to be on the models, so would want the whole into to look like they have the extra weapon even tho not all of them will have axes.
