Emperor's Furor
I was wondering what you guys thought looked better, the helmeted head, or the tattooed head? http://i60.tinypic.com/okvg61.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/zswjsk.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/ Share on other sites
A D-B
Helmeted, in this instance, I think. Looks brilliant, either way. Awesome model. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3734996 Share on other sites
Telhdrat
I'd go with the bare head myself but otherwise agree, it's a fantastic model. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3734997 Share on other sites
GrandMagnus
Definetly the helmet. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3734999 Share on other sites
Captain Juan Juarez
Helmet - the style is rather sinister but also I think it looks better with the armour. Plus I imagine most people going the bare-headed route. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3735000 Share on other sites

Emperor's Furor
Ok great thanks :D I tried it with a different pose, so that it's looking more mobile, which do you prefer this one or the previous one? http://i61.tinypic.com/n1yng6.jpg http://i59.tinypic.com/11hw40m.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/icmucg.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3735006 Share on other sites
Captain Juan Juarez
This feels like a visit to the opticians; this way or... this way. The first... or the second.. xD Helmet, first pose. Kais Klip
The "I don't think I can quite take this off anymore" helm, cursed to never open his lips or feel the warm arterial spray of sacrifice, in punishment for some sin against the four. A pose of such utter awesome (make him battle worn and you're golden) deserves a background of similar fitting. A D-B
I like both poses, but I think I just barely prefer the second. It's "I see you there, goober. I'm a-coming to break your face open" in the second pose, versus "Well, we sure kicked those guys' asses..." of the first. I think it's more that the first one is one we've seen a squillion times (and rightly so, as it's awesome) whereas the second one is more mobile, and much rarer. Stepping over wreckage towards the viewer. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3735038 Share on other sites
Reyner
Second pose I would say, especially if you have a jump pack kicking about. I may steal this pose I apologise :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3735042 Share on other sites

Stepping over wreckage towards the viewer. Can't beat a classic! That said, I'm much more a fan of static, generally more dramatic, poses and so I vote the former. Regardless of the pose, I'm sure the mini will look splendiferous. Thanks, his name is Captain Eliezar which is Hebrew for "Help of My God" I figured there isn't really a Diabolist rank but instead a classification of an individual of any existing rank who could be described as one. Thanks for all the other feedback, I think I'm going to go with the second pose with the helmet. Also incase you're interested, I just got through with converting some Gal Vorbak. http://i60.tinypic.com/214pgt0.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3735086 Share on other sites
Hyaenidae
Nice use of the possessed parts. And the Diabolist is smokin' hot. I perfer the second helmed pose, looks very intimidating. A thought? Scrape away the skull on the chest, and replace it with a small book from the Grey Knights set. A little greenstuff, and you could have flames rolling from it. Whatever, this guy is wicked. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3735198 Share on other sites

Hyaenidae
There's a small one hanging from one of the backpacks, that would fit perfectly. Durfast Spiritwolf
First pose. I would normally go for helmeted, but given his role as a diabolist, I think the tattooed head would be better :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293235-my-diabolist/#findComment-3735714 Share on other sites

Emperor's Furor
Hey guys, I'm about to start painting this guy soon and was wondering what to do with his helmet, should I leave it black and do a silver flame, or paint it red with a gold/bronze flame or paint it silver and do a gold flame or something else?
