Iron-Daemon Forge
I'd general go Nuln for my metal/tank treads & if you want that dirt oil look typhus corrosion is really great. Madwolf Shadowmane
I used both Nuln first then Earthshade it gave a nice dirty color. You can see it on the tracks of my Sicarian Battle tank in my WIP thread in my signature. Ammonius
Short answer: Yes! Don't forget that you can add a little flow agent/ kleer to either and the color will stick in the crevices rather than tint the flat surfaces. Ovidius Incertus
To echo: both Nuln and Agrax. Or, alternately, if you want to buy something else, Secret Weapon's Armor Wash, which is gray/brown. Gurth
Should I use Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade for washing the treads on a tank? The only thing you should do is think for yourself. In this particular case, that means: try something out, see if it achieves a result you like, and if not, try something else. There are no “musts” and “must nots” in painting models. Forté
Depends on the bases of the rest of your army. I plan to paint mine rusty. Use a very thin grey wash (ash bases). Then dry brush very dark metallic grey on the bits that touch the ground.
