greendestiny
I am working on a Yarrick conversion but I need a few bitz of help. (pun intended) I have the basic model put together, the part that is eluding me is the small power backpack that he wears to support the powerclaw. So I am wondering what options you suggest for a powerpack? The only thing I had thought of so far was chopping up a Vox unit and running power cables to the powerclaw. Ideally I would like to get 4-5 of these so that I can do multiple builds/poses for the old man. I think this is a very fitting project considering the orks will be surging onto tabletops with the new codex coming out. comments/suggestions welcome. Kierdale
I think a vox unit (either the top or bottom half would suffice, considering the size of the power pack on the power-fist-and-book commissar) would suffice. You could always try chopping down a marine backpack but I honestly think the vox would look best. One last idea: a cut-down Scion backpack? Sheesh Mode
Wire and greenstuff around that wire, then use a sculpting tool to add rivets. OR! get actual metal wires from various hobby stores or rip them out of old technology and bend and cut to your purposes. Primer does wonders to mask what you've used. greendestiny
Good ideas guys. I hadn't thought of the Scion's backpack. I have guitar wire and greenstuff ready to go so between all of that I should be able to put something together. Okay this is an edit but I just looked over the Scion bits and I think that is the best option. If I chop off the bedroll of one of the normal guys or take off the antenna on the vox unit either is perfect size..... SO excited thanks for the help.
