Keep an eye out people, i just want a Krom, so I'm scouring sources for just him.

Might be an obvious answer but I just picked him up on eBay matey, first one I saw but worth keeping an eye out if like me you just want him rather than the whole boxed set, good luck smile.png

This would have to be a great marketing tool if they took it across many other campaigns AND kept it a price bargain like they did with this one.  Seems interest in this was very high.  Of course I will say it is because of the Wolves, but was a gonga deal for some cool models.

I lined one up with an ork friend, and will try to get one when the release them at the store. Great deal, and the rule book will go to my friend who got me into the hobby and has yet to  get the 7th book. They way they set up the new rulebook means its not the burden it was, and the paperback isn't as much of an upgrade

It is cheaper but also cost less for them to produce so I'd argue the the profit margin is still the same. Regardless of that I'm not sure that it is cheaper is valid reason for omitting content. On the whole my personal experiences of the digital versions of release have been good. The interactive rulebook is well worth it imo. As are the smaller things like carnage and kill team rules. This was just my first WD digital copy and as I said it is disappointing that key info is missing.

Fail. I must have been blind and woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. There is in fact a tiny image in the iBook version of the rules from Stormclaw. I had expected something along the lines of the scions details, I was wrong.

From a very blurred zoom of the image it looks like Krom's axe is either +1 or +2 str (as we'd expect) with ap1 and 3 SR types (doesn't look like unweildy is one of them). The second looks to be master-crafted.

If you're right about the axe and if he's 185 points... that would make for a pretty beastly character. Sounds like a non-unwieldy non-specialist chainfist but with a bit less strength. If true, that would be very badass.

Man... if all frost axes became ap1 and lost unwieldy, that would be so crazy.

I was looking at 8 this morning, just caught one on there now.

Thanks!

Ugh, one model for $35, I should just split a box with someone for that

Look on the bright side, that's at least average price.

his axe looked like ap2, melee, master crafted, unwieldy. Couldn't read strength mod.

looks like he had furious charge and one other special rule i couldn't make out - stubborn?

points were 1X5 where X could have been 3, 5 or 8.

also couldn't quite tell but he may have had power armour?

@Skeletoro: I like that more than the current warrior borne. I always have people running away from me, so stopped taking it on anything less than a ThunderLord.

@logun: i ended up buying it despite being initially against it. As long as you get rid of the orks the kit can make its money back, even better if you sell the mini-book as well (which i always do, the big book is better to hit people with!)

WLK

may have had base strength 5 but hard to read.

terminators didn't seem to be special in any way. Couldn't read statline or points costs. Sergeant has frost blade which seemed to be ap3 melee, but couldn't read str mod.

the formation includes those 3 packs specifically (not generic) so may be completely non customizable, as the wolf guard are. It gives furious charge and something else(presumably something to do with getting rerolla when you focus fire as mentioned in the battle report).
