Kilofix
Does anyone know where specifically on Terra, each original Legions did their recruiting? Edit - What I meant was does anyone know where the following FW descriptions relate to with regards to real-world Terra? Edit - Resorted list by Legion # Apart from the World Eaters, Emperor's Children, Word Bearers, Imperial Fists that are more evident. Here's what FW HH has listed: Dark Angels - ? XX Emperor’s Children – courts and blood vassal populations of Europa Iron Warriors – warlike gun tribes, blood grieves and Tek-enclaves surrounding the Auro Plateau of Sek Amrak White Scars - Asia? Space Wolves - one of the 3 secret proto-legions Imperial Fists – from across Terra as a whole Night Lords – linked prison sinks of Ancient Terra; also from Old Albia Blood Angels - ? Iron Hands – Qavitine Plate cities, and from former enemy blocs such as Solus Stellax; also from Old Albia XX World Eaters - no particular bias as to the tribe or city state Ultramarines - ? SW1
Think Old Albia is a reference to the island state next to Europa. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293389-legion-terran-origins/#findComment-3737940 Share on other sites

Strazhakov
Think Old Albia is a reference to the island state next to Europa. Quick question: Is the Golden Throne still located in what is today Nottingham with the Imperial Palace covering UK and Northern Europe or did they change it to be in the Himalayas? I read conflicting reports on that. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293389-legion-terran-origins/#findComment-3738018 Share on other sites
Kol Saresk
The Night Lords and Iron Hands also share those ancient, warlike clans of Old Albia, source is Betrayal. Nehekhare
where specifically on Terra Iron Warriors – the Auro Plateau of Sek Amrak Sek, or Sehk is a village in Iran, while Amrak was a 6th century turkish Khan, so the Auro plateau should cover what was once called the Seleukid Empire, one of the Diadochi (heirs to Alexander the Great) which fits the IW hellenist (greek-persian) cultural background (cf. "Seleucid Thorakite" Olympian Imperial Guard, or "Stor-Bezashk", the IW and also late Persian siege artillery and last but not least Alexanders mother, like Perturabo's mother planet, was called "Olympias"). Anybody got a theory why it's called the "auro" (aurum = gold) plateau? iron and gold are the colors of the IVth.
