koran
Well its been a while since Ive posted but I had to as I got an exciting delivery through the post. http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m16/NeilCollins_/Mechanicus/WP_20140607_11_37_12_Pro_zps4774bcb2.jpg Wow.... Now that's a lot of bits. Definitely my largest project to date. And to add to the challenge (yeah, because I titan isnt enough apparently - Idiot me) Im going to be trying to add some lighting to it. Not sure exactly what yet but Im going to have to have a think. Not much for now I know. I've checked off the bits and need to get them bagged up into manageable sub-projects as this is a bit intimidating! Also because my housemate will rage if the living room is left like this! Montuhotep
Interesting to see another Titan build on here, keen to see what you do with it - Reaver or Warhound? CommodusXIII
That's definitely a Reaver. I've been looking into one of these myself, so it will be interesting to see how your build progresses. koran
It is indeed a Reaver. Why start small after all (or more that after this I will probably have some sort of a heart attack). So the first project is to complete a leg. Im going to go for it walking forward with the front foot stepping up onto a raised platform (which will be a raised area for a building that has been destroyed with the base having stairs up to it). Ive left the armour off to make it easier to paint (if I ever get onto that :p) http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m16/NeilCollins_/Mechanicus/WP_20140615_09_53_11_Pro_zpsce3509c9.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293420-bringing-the-god-machine-to-life/#findComment-3741061 Share on other sites
HJL
Good plan leaving the armour off. I should have done that with my knight. I got impatient. koran
Its been a while since I have posted. Ive got the legs done (finally): http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m16/NeilCollins_/Mechanicus/WP_20140615_09_53_50_Pro_zps3d35c0de.jpg I've got to grill through the crotch as I want to have actual lights where they are on the model (pointing towards the feet from the crotch). I also bought a test model to try out a few things. The first was the red as I want a more mottled looking colour. The other is how to do the brass lining. The new Mechanicus Thanatar! The red looks much better in person (I was going for an [in places chipped] enamel) as the slight shine on the armour reflects the light. Because of this Ive had to take pictures in a low light which makes it not look very clear so sorry about that: http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m16/NeilCollins_/Mechanicus/WP_20140715_18_59_50_Pro_zpsd706e284.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m16/NeilCollins_/Mechanicus/WP_20140715_19_00_30_Pro_zps1c2fffde.jpg http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m16/NeilCollins_/Mechanicus/WP_20140715_18_59_41_Pro_zpsf4a6dd45.jpg Here is one with a bit more light (but a lot more glare): http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m16/NeilCollins_/Mechanicus/WP_20140715_18_58_35_Pro_zpse80434c4.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293420-bringing-the-god-machine-to-life/#findComment-3746928 Share on other sites
