chosen40k
Hey, does anyone have a pic of a good conversion of a Sigismund miniature? I'm looking to build one in the future but need inspirations. So far I only have the cover of Templar for ideas but it doesn't show his whole body. corai
I'd have thought the Hellbrecht model with the gun and censor carved away and an appropriate helmet would be close. Although he seems to perfectly resemble the emperors champion model if you sculpted a cheat part of his tabard Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293423-sigismund-miniature/#findComment-3738695 Share on other sites
Relict
You can always wait for his official FW miniature... Seeing how he is a pivotal character in the Horus Heresy and a fan favorite, surely he will be getting one. Always wanted to do a mini-diorama of the projected duel between him and Khârn at the Siege of Terra. Jamafore
I never thought of it till you said that, but Khârn does seem posed like he's going after someone in particular. redmapa
Emperor's Champion, he's already posed as if challenging the opponent and, well, Sigismund IS the Emperor's champion. Relict
Standing tall upon the broken bodies of the World Eaters he slew moments ago, Sigismund surveyed the carnage that filled the breach in the Palace wall like blood welling up within a freshly opened wound. Amidst the mass of clashing Legionaries, Sigismund finally saw him - so familiar yet so alien a sight. In many ways, the warrior in filthy blue and white livery was the Imperial Fist's mirror image, his roaring chainaxe belching fume and spitting gore as its owner rend apart yet another Son of Dorn. The World Eater cut down the last of his immediate foes. Gorechild fell momentarily silent as its wielder searched for more worthy adversaries. The two former brothers saw each other. Khârn smiled from behind his snarling Sarum-Pattern faceplate. Raising Gorechild high above his head, he gunned the chainaxe at maximum revolution. "Brother!" He cried out. "One last fight. Just like in the pits." "Aye," Sigismund replied, solemnly and not without a hint of sorrow. "Sanguis Extremis." Reyner
I made one a few years ago out of the Helbrecht model. All I need to do now is replace the MK4 helm I gave him and remove the combi-melta from his back. I'll post a picture if you want to see my dire attempt at painting yellow? And think about the "victim marine" on his base. FW painted him in Raven Guard colors, but wouldn't Mark VI or VI armor be more appropriate in that case? The heavy Mark II doesn't really fit the spirit of the VII Legion. Son of Carnelian
You should take a look at the Emperor's Champion for the 77th Ippotikus Crusade. Brother Sir Isenhar has crafted a stunning display of zeal that could easily pass for Sigismund. http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q166/Venatust/Ec2.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293423-sigismund-miniature/#findComment-3740366 Share on other sites
Joeyray
Slightly related, any evidence of a model for Polux in the pipeline? Firstly I want a model of that big S.o.B!Secondly it will be the figurehead of my Praetor's bodyguard based on the Potsdam Giants of Frederick William I. Dono1979
Like others have suggested, I have just gotten a place holder for the time being, I strongly suspect that FW will release a model for Sigi and it will be all sorts of awesome. However Alexis Polux I am not so sure on, so I have started work converted one myself. Sigismund is the one in the middle: http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss62/dono1979/SAM_2541_zps01ee3c6a.jpg Alexis Polux WIP: http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss62/dono1979/SAM_2690_zps3a7b6fa8.jpghttp://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss62/dono1979/SAM_2691_zps318535eb.jpghttp://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss62/dono1979/SAM_2693_zpsc17beeb1.jpghttp://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss62/dono1979/SAM_2694_zps3c7182b2.jpghttp://i562.photobucket.com/albums/ss62/dono1979/SAM_2689_zps4455e4ba.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293423-sigismund-miniature/#findComment-3741123 Share on other sites
