Venemox
Special issue ammunition in a unique weapon. Unique hand to hand weapon. Awesome armor. Has a knack for slaying greenskins... Captain Tycho was obviously seconded to the Deathwatch early in his career. As such, I present my beginnings of Watch Commander Tycho. http://i863.photobucket.com/albums/ab191/Venemox2/Obsidian%20Legion/Characters/20140707_153212_zpsaac61710.jpg This is the first time I've cut away metal shoulder pads for a mod before. I started with a keyhole saw, decided I didn't like that, went on to nips, decided I didn't like that either. So i broke out the safety glasses and earplugs (safety, safety, safety) and went to town with a Dremel with the flexible tool attachment and some special grinding tips. Not perfect, but a great learning project. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293458-deatwatch-commander-tycho/ Share on other sites
Brother-Chaplain Kage
I have a big ol' rasp I bought out of a clearance bin for $2 some years ago that I use to help me with metal conversions. I've ground more than a few shoulder pads down to size with it. Nice job on the conversion, though. As old as that figure is, it still holds up relatively well today. Tabgoi
Full dremel kit is a must for metal minis, too bad they don't make them like that any more. I am liking this idea a lot though. Makes a ton of sense. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293458-deatwatch-commander-tycho/#findComment-3739629 Share on other sites
Venemox
This is a recovery model from a lot on eBay. I don't have the original backpack, and he was just soaked in gobs of black paint. I'm doing a Deathwatch army, so I thought he fit in well.
