Grotsmasha
The trick is to take large, quality pictures, then reduce them to an appropriate size prior to upload. Gurth
You mean the photos you’ve got in your gallery? They are easily large enough (1600 × 1200 pixels, the one I checked) so I think you’ve probably not figured out how to access the various sizes The forum software automatically scales the image to a few different sizes so you can pick one that suits your needs. If you click on an image in your gallery, so you get to a page that shows the image, you can then right-click on the image and choose the size you want to view it at from the dark pop-up window that appears. That gets you to a new page where you can get the URL of the image in the normal way for your browser (in my case: right-click and choose “Copy image location”; in Internet Explorer I think you have to go to Properties and then find the URL) with links to “Thumbnail”, “Small”, “Medium” and “Large” versions of the image along the top. You can then paste that URL into your message and add tags around it. All that said, I have to add that I find the gallery very counter-intuitive to use. Every time I want to upload pics I have to search for how to do that, finding the different image sizes is something you can only discover by trial and error, and so on. Uploading also seems to take ages, though it could be that’s partly to blame on my connection Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293770-need-some-help-with-my-photos/#findComment-3745933 Share on other sites
markham82
Thanks Brother You're explanation gave me a headache, but I'll see if I can figure it out( trial and error Huzzah) If you think your connections slow you should come to Africa and see what slow really is.
