Hmm. I don't have 6th Ruleboo in full format so I can't check, but the Lions Defiant connection to DA seems fickle, especially because they are a sucessor of a new Sucessor.

Good to know about Angels of Wrath though.I never had any Citadel Journal numbers so it's cool to see another DA Sucessor.

Scanned through that Angels of Wrath article, have to say it sounds like fan fiction. "Covert X"? "Arkangels"? It would be really easy to make something like that up and source it to some hard to find, out of print magazine article.

I have the issue. It was rather well written and I enjoyed it at the time. It was really written as a halfway point between 40k and a Necromunda sized game with the scouts fighting against Arbites and the Ecclesiarchy. They game had rules for angry mobs and things like that. The scouts would incite riots to cover their actions.

 

If it sounds like a fanfic... well it was. The Citadel Journal was a fanzine that took articles from players.

The Lions Defiant existed and the facts about their homeworld being lost to rebellion is correct, but I can't verify any of the claims about their ancestry or specialty. Unless there is some official source that I haven't seen (one of the dataslates, perhaps), I'm guessing that's fan fiction.
