Commander_Moustache
Well I am thinking of using Some Millitarum Tempestus scions in my list (as I prefer thier orders on my command squad) and I was wondering something that is really the pivitol moment in choosing them from MT. Can I have them run in a vendetta from The regular AM book? And if so does that mean can I buy a Valkyrie from the MT book for a squad of vets to run in, as this will give me an extra fast attack slot with whitch to play with. Thankyou for your thoughts. scatmandoo
You can place units in other transports now so this should work. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/293943-allies-and-aircraft/#findComment-3749310 Share on other sites
march10k
Perfectly legal I have to say it's a bit AYEIOB, though, putting that command squad in that vendetta...unless this is some sort of "sacrifice the queen to get mate in three" gambit? Commander_Moustache
Its more of a fluff reason, and it also means I can get them exactly where I want them, rather than deep striking them and hopeing they dont scatter. march10k
LOL...this is your chicken to , I'm just holding the wings for you! /edit/ In other words...I'm not going to tell you not to do it, I'm just telling you it's a LOT of points. All it takes is one lucky lascannon shot and the vendetta goes boom and everyone inside takes a S10 with no armor save...or even just wrecking it in flight...scary. march10k
you can LoS! and invul an instadeath, instadeath only invalidates feel no pain. However, when we're talking about a stormtrooper comand squad using those saves to survive a plane crash, there is no invul save for them, so that's silly, and LoS! will only save the tempestor prime...on a 4+, iirc...I don't think he's an independent character...? Even if it's a 2+, getting a 170 point bird with a 145 (with 4x plasma) point squad inside shot down an walking away with nothing but a tempestor prime who is alone and unafraid...is a FREAKING DISASTER!!!
