Commander_Moustache
Well after the success of posting my Imperial guard I thought I would post my Space Marines, The Order of Hyberon. For this army is my major converting work of mine as I have Sculpted all the helmets into the crusader MkIV (the knight like helm) and I have done cloakes on all of the full marines (so Tactical marines on up. And Sargents) and have alterd the shoulderpads to give them more of a noticeble outline. Later when the Imperial Knights came out I noticed a resemblance to thier shoulderpads and my marines shoulderpads, so I reworked the fluff from a fudal world to a knight world, and I plan on doing a knight to represent the original Order of Hyberon (which is now an imperial Knight house). http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153133_zps58b1479b.jpg The whole collection. All painted and around 2,000-2,250pts http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153233_zps1e6c2797.jpg And here is my chapter master Alfred the Younger http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153335_zps28c95d0d.jpg And his honour guard, made from a command squad and grey knights kit http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153430_zpse1db30f1.jpg The first of my Scout squads (called Squires here) these were built out of the scouts that came with the Storm and some bretonnian knights errant. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153455_zps9edbdc9f.jpg And the storm http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153521_zps63e73ee3.jpg My other Squad of squires. Converted from Wood Elf heads and green stuff cloaks. The barrels on the stalker bolters are always breaking, but I think I have finaly got them to stick. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153605_zps88038715.jpg My favorate vehicle in the Space Marine Armoury, a good old Vehicle. The sheild is removable, as is the vents to represent damage during the game. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153640_zpsde9f5cb0.jpg My chaplin Edward the Interrogator. The base model was the clampack librarian with wings from a banner I had laying around. Armed with a powerfist and holy whoopass stick. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153723_zpseb27e179.jpg The assualt marines. I decided to distribute the running legs around one of my tactical squads as it gives more movement to both squads. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153848_zpsb034a0b6.jpg First of my tactical squads and rhino. Equiped with Flamer, combi-flamer and Multi-Melter to crack infantry and destroy vehicles. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_153934_zps31af29ec.jpg The inside of my rhino. The top doors are removable again so I can paint inside and represent damage. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_154018_zps0ef129d1.jpg My forgeworld Terminators. These were fun to work with especialy getting them all posed dramticaly. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_154049_zps6ba1f06e.jpg The techmarine here I used the shoulderpads from the command squad (trimed down) and it makes him look like he fits more in with the Terminators. A nice side effect I thought. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_154142_zps5e5d9e7f.jpg My secound Tactical squad equiped the same as the first. Again, the rhino top doors can be removed. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_154257_zpsa027628d.jpg My devistators in thier natural habbitat. The yellow on the defencive gun is to tie them in with thier founding chapter, the Imperial Fists. http://i1309.photobucket.com/albums/s637/Wolf_Bain_Skyhunter/IMG_20140722_154317_zps01ed83f4.jpg And finaly my Storm Raven. Certainly a wonderful little flyer, if the enemy doesnt have any intercepter guns anyway. So guys, let me know what you think? Grand Master Caloth
Impressive sculpting but I have one complaint... I am guessing you used your phone for the photos? Some are so fuzzy (the chaplain, squires, actually most of the infantry) that it's hard to fully appreciate the work. That said, the paint scheme and background sound awesome, and class I'm not the only one who loves those helms, though I don't have enough experience to sculpt like you, so I doff my hat to you. Lastly, that is a storm talon, not a raven, but still awesome paint work Edit: did another look, I actually think your camera was trying to focus on the models behind what you were trying to shoot, gene the focus is off. Maybe a different focus setting, like Portrait or Close Focus? markham82
You should be proud of yourself and your chapter. Clearly a lot of thought and effort has gone into it. Well done Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/294101-order-of-hyberon-lots-of-picks/#findComment-3753014 Share on other sites
Commander_Moustache
Thankyou for your feedback. I am glad you guys like them, and really doing those helms wasnt hard at all really. But yeah I know the pics arent great as I use the camera on my tablet as its the best one I had. And I dont know if anyone noticed and I didnt say, but I also added some extra plates to the hips and groin. I wanted the armour to look more archaic and it really does match in with the knights as well. markham82
Noticed and at least you don't have to travel a 100km to borrow a camera. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/294101-order-of-hyberon-lots-of-picks/#findComment-3754257 Share on other sites
