PensacolaWarhammer
Recently finished this commission for a Khorne Heldrake. Let me know what you think. You'll probably noticed I didn't use the standard flight post that comes with the model. I hate them, and think they take away from the overall appeal of the fliers and their possible base. For this, I used a flight rod and adapter from CorSec Engineering. The model unscrews from the rod a base for easy storage and travel. It also helps with the overall appeal of the model. Here's a shot of the screw adapter that is placed in the model. I probably could have done a better job painting it, but when everything is put together and the model is on the table, you don't notice it. Here's a shot of the base. The lava was made with PVA glue, and the rocks were made from sculptimold plaster. You can also see how the flight rod connects to the base. Let me know what you think. Kriegsmacht
Sweet model I like the gold. The base is neat too I might try doing that sometime. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/294170-khorne-heldrake/#findComment-3754436 Share on other sites
PensacolaWarhammer
@Kael24 The base was super easy. I pretty sure you could use spackle for the rocks if you don't have a model/hobby store that carries Scupltimold. Thanks for the comments though. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/294170-khorne-heldrake/#findComment-3754440 Share on other sites
