Commander_Moustache
Well...its been a while since I was here. My name was Howland Greywolfe last I was here and well I since moved away from space wolves to other armies since my wolves were so badly painted (they were my first army, I was 12). But since now I have painted up a space marine army to a good standard and I have repainted a lot of my guard..well let me cut to the chaice. The wolf in me sturrs at the new models and codex....with the new flyer I can finaly do the Skyhunter title justice...should the lost company return for the wolf time...or is it better to let it be Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/294360-greetings/ Share on other sites
Ishagu
Definitely a good time to return. There is excitement in the air. Is there any way to strip your old models? Dragongazer
Welcome back! Simple Green is your friend if you want to start over with the same models. Strips them back to at least base very quickly. Vash113
Welcome back to the Fang, always good to have more battle-brothers return, no matter how long they've been away! EDIT: I use Simple Green too, works pretty well and doesn't damage the models even if you leave them in there for a while. I've had some in tubs of Simple Green for months at a time as I strip and reassemble them a few at a time. Commander_Moustache
Well they are really only sprayed black with some colour, so I shouldnt have to strip them (say hellow to Spce woles grey sprey). Brother Crazywolf
Welcome back to the Fang! I also recommend Simple Green. I would still strip them down even if you have as little paint on the as you say. I have heard that an ultrasonic cleaner also helps speed things up. For me a day or two and a toothbrush work. Kassill
Welcome brother, plenty of room by the hearth! As long as it's a really thin coat on them, you should be fine, but be wary of spraying them over too many times. Otherwise good luck! Leif Bearclaw
Thing is, does anyone know how to get Simple Green (or equivalent) in the UK? It's often recommended here, but always by Americans. I'm also looking to strip some 2nd hand models, and have had really mixed results with other methods in the past. Valerian
There's a whole thread on the subject of stripping paint over here in the Forge/PCA section. It looks like there are some good UK options there. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/294360-greetings/#findComment-3759246 Share on other sites

Kasper_Hawser
Welcome back to the Fang, always good to old blood returning to the Aett. Definitely going to be an exciting time, although I hope you don't go on a buying spree for the new flyers yet, at least not until we see what new tricks and weapons the Grey Hunters and Bloodclaws have. Commander_Moustache
Has it been so long that people have forgotten the beer raider? It was a device of my own design that I drove through the forums when space wolves were released last on a massive pub crawl. Basicaly its a land raider crusader with the hurracane bolters removes and replaced by beer despencers and the assault cannon replaced by a beer hose. Kasper_Hawser
LOL, beer raiders! Sadly I'm not that old in 40K lore to remember it, having played Dawn of War back in 2006, and started painting/playing in 2014. I'm reminded of the old Robotech/Macross series where the swarm of missiles tended to look like soda cans.
