L30n1d4s
This is a bit of an outlandish idea (and an expensive one, both points wise and in real money), but in a competitive environment could be devastating. First, take Cypher (from the digital dataslate rule for him) and then take an Aquila Strongpoint with Macrocannon from Stronghold Assault. Next, place Cypher inside the main bunker and have him "man" the emplaned Macrocannon. With his BS10, you should be able to fire two Large Blast , D strength shots a turn that only scatter at most 2" (and the vast majority of the time do not scatter at all). Used against critical enemy units , you can basically "unhinge" his army by surgically removing key components each turn, especially if you roll some lucky 6s to wound/penetrate every once in a while. incinerator950
I've been thinking about having Cypher man gun emplacements for shere lulz factor. Jolemai
I see this and raise you an Avatar with the Fast Shot Exarch power doing the same thing Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/294522-cypher-aquila-macro-cannon/#findComment-3762567 Share on other sites
L30n1d4s
Avatar with Fast Shot would be even better, but I think you have to embark in the building to man the emplaced weapon and, as I understand it, MCs can't embark on buildings (or vehicles for that matter).
