No 'objective secured' transports for us?

I was under the impression rhinos, razorbacks and pods are now listed under fast attack?

Erm... why would they be? They can't be taken separately, they are always dedicated transports, and as such act as having been taken from whatever FOC slot the unit they're taken with is from. So take 'em for Troops choices and there you go.

Nothing becomes standard smile.png

Dedicated transports are considered of the same type as the unit they were bought for. If you buy it for a troop unit, they are troop. If the detachment rules have objective secured (CAD or Ally), then the transport has it, since it's a troop choice. But this is only if you purchase it as a dedicated transport, and this option must be listed in the unit entry.

Having the razorback or pod listed separately means they can be bought without unit, and then they are fast attack. The same way you can buy LRs as heavy support. Buying a drop pod without being dedicated is very weird though, as has been mentioned before this means you could embark battle brother allied units in it, for instance an inquisitor with retinue ohmy.png or a AM veteran squad...ogryns even?. I'm thinking there'll be some restrictions to those transports to prevent weird drop pod combinations, but who knows. We'll find out soon enough smile.png

I must admit that if SW can indeed buy them separately, I'm a touch jealous tongue.png

As far as buying the for IG SW teams, I'm not sure why bother. Chimera isn't that expensive, and brings more firepower of its own. Unless of course it's an issue with having excess Rhinos and fast attack slots (or being Unbound) and not having Chimera models. Or something.
