Deamonology for space wolves

Recommended Posts

While at work I was having a quick read of the new rulebook conformations and I had a thought when rune preists can take Malfic deamonology (I knew they could but I didnt have this idea).

Summon count as "Spirits of Fenris". Like wolves for Hounds of Khorn and a giant werewolf for a blood thirster or what have you. Still in the thought processes but I wonder what people thik of this idea

Too easy to Perils.

And that is really the issue.  ANY DOUBLES, whether the power goes off or not, causes perils.  And with every conjugation requiring 3 successes, chances are you are throwing 7+ dice at stuff, so you are guaranteed to literally blow your mind!

That's a waste of points on a rune priest.  Sancitic is a little kinder, but obviously not the same punch.

Could be interesting from a modeling perspective, but for actually gaming with... don't do it unless it's your dearly held dream. Not only are you likely to peril yourself to death, you're passing on the new tempest discipline and buffing your wolves with biomancy, etc.

Sounds like a fantastic modelling opportunity. Go for it!

coming from an Inquisitor.....RUN!

I like the idea, but I'm not going to use that power as it doesn't fit my play style.

Shame, seemed like a good idea for models. I for one am all about making it so you have fun with what you have, and if an idea like this is something you wanted to try I would say give it a good if you had some nice models for it. Does sound iffy tho...
