So far haven't found the part where we can take more then 2 hq in a normal force chart??

I compared my list(s) to the new dex and point wise things stay around the same, besides the fact my grey hunters don't have the banner and sadly the mark of the wulfen..

You can't in a CAD. Of course, you can always take multiple detachments.

They really didnt change much in how models can be equipped, they only made a new system for how you buy stuff. Like the WG Terminators - they can all still be just like they used to, but you have to go to the equipmentpage to see it instead of in the unit entry. Annoying, but yeah. It's all still here, and on top of it I think we got us some nice bonuses =)

Just wanted to check I have this right: because fenrisian wolves lack deep strike, you can only teleport TDA lone wolves into battle if they leave their pets behind, correct?

I would assume so. Means they will probably be left at home most of the time. Though technically now since all our transports are in fast attack you can actually purchase a drop pod, rhino, razorback or stormwolf for them now.

 

Edit: As was pointed out in another thread it doesn't seem that beasts can go in any transport. So you will only use them on lone wolves if they hoof it. Pretty restrictive..

okay, a few questions based on my gaming experience yesterday:

 

1. Does the Venerable Dreadnought's Great Fenrisian Axe and Blizzard Shield combine in CC for +1A? (It reads to me as they do, but that seems TOO good)

 

2. Does the Venerable Dreadnought's Blizzard Shield provide it's save in CC as long as the Ven Dread is not immobilized? (Nothing stating it doesnt, as long as CC attacks are on front armor)

 

3. If Wolf Scouts take a Wolf Guard Pack Leader do they lose Infiltrate, Move through Cover and Scout? (as those abilities are listed as Wolf Scouts only)

#2 Thats what the consensus was, but some people were vocal on the balance of it. 

 

#3 That makes the squad useful again. I had 4 players from my local community come to my home and we all went over the new Wolf rules, where there was vocal arguments over this ruling so I figured I'd ask a larger community. (one of the people were vehemently against it, so I thought it worth triple checking)

Can one take a full allowance of slot-less Lone Wolves and then add more by spending elites slots?

Yes

 

For example, could you make a Great Wolf detachment with one rune priest and two lone wolves for 80 points and then add 18 Thunder wolf Cavalry?

Is the Great Wolf detachment from the upcoming Supplement? I haven't been paying too much attention to that yet.
