The Wolves seize the initiative!

Turn 1 Wolves
I didnt really move much, as I wanted to try and drop some of the Chaos Rhinos first. Took 2 of 3 Hull points off of one, but no luck.

Turn 2 Wolves
My Wolves begin to advance from my deployment zone, using Rhino's to shield the advance while the Stormwolf races onto the table. The Ven Dread with Axe+Shield shield's the Autocannon Dread and Rhino. Combined fire from the LF packs immbolized 1 Chaos Rhino while the Vindicator blew up the almost dead Rhino

Turn 2 Chaos
The Bikers and Lord move forward while the mobs of Cultists shuffle towards objective markers. The two Havoc squads manage to take 2 of 3 Hull points from my Stormwolf

Turn 3 Wolves
With a 10in charge, my Ven Dread with Axe+Shield connects with the Chaos Lord and Biker retinue.
My Wolf Lord and Grey Hunters split to charge different opponents, the Lord going for a Havoc squad while the GH move towards a Cultist mob
My Thunderwolves charge to engage the now Rhinoless Possessed Marines

Turn 4 Wolves
A furious volley of Chaos firepower kills all but one of the Grey Hunter pack who moves to engage the Obliterators, the Wolf Lord moves to now join my Blood Claw pack, the Chaos Heldrake Vector Strikes and kills the Storm Wolf, the Thunderwolves move to engage a second Possessed Squad with Sorcerer.
Turn 4 Chaos
The Heldrake Vector Strikes the Stormwolf, killing it then roasts 3 of 5 of the Long Fangs, killing 3 of 4 flak missiles while the Raptors creep towards the central object but fail to mail the Vindicator tank.
The Chaos Dreadnought moves to join the Chaos Lord in CC against my Dreadnought, while the Chaos Marines unleash a volley of fire on the Wolf Lord and Blood Claws

My Wolf Lord and CHaos Lord
Game was scored 13 to 5 in my favor (I scored 10 Strategy points, First Blood, Line Breaker and Slay the Warlord)
This was my first game of 7th Ed using Strategy Cards, and I had a blast. I was making moves I normally wouldnt make to acheive the points (like tossing TWC on a Objective rather than into Cultists or having my Wolf Lord charge a Havoc unit alone).

I *think* my opponent and good friend Rayray may have been taking it easy on me, as this was the first Maelstrom game I played and only 3rd game of 7th ed. I saw him earlier run circles around a Ork player using the Daemonolgy powers, essentially bringing in 2 new units every turn. (I asked him point blank if he did, which he denied. I doubt he would as we've gamed together for years and got a good rivalry going)

He ran Biomancy against me, but couldnt face down the Thunderwolf Pack Leader.

I know I caught him by surprise a few times, such as the Ven Dread with Axe+Shield making a 10in charge into his Lord's Biker unit, or my Wolf Lord surviving a round of shooting from the Oblits all by his lonesome. The Thunderwolves surprised me, as I am used to everybody having a counter for them. the lower cost and added special CC weapon really adds to their punch.

The cards were really in my favor, with rarely a turn going by I couldnt add a few points to my total.
