MustangTC
So our most famous mentor has improved a lot this codex. Just looking at ways to use him. He's basically a 12" prefered enemy bubble and a 24" stubborn one that provides fearles, monster hunter and 6++ FNP to his unit. I'm thinking he'll be great at the back (he's nothing special in combat) with a couple of packs of long fangs and maybe an aegis. Or what about putting him in a bastion? Would his auras be measured from the building like transports then making it bigger? If so you could have him safely inside with heavy bolter fangs/scouts, long fangs on top, a couple of tanks to the sides and anything else in what is now an 18" prefered enemy bubble! What about in a fortress of redemption?! Does PE work against penning vehicles? Squark
He's not on the table when he's in a bastion, so there's no where to draw the line from. Preferred Enemy does not work for vehicular penetration since it doesn't specifically mention doing so. Rolling to wound is not the same thing. MustangTC
I thought you treated bastions like transports so you measured from anywhere on the hull? That's how I played a rune priests Runic staff from within a rhino in 6th.
