Grimtooth
So I was messing with adding a Wolves Unleashed detachment to somewhat have the Outflankers I had with my old list. CAD would be fleshed out with objective secured Troops. My first thought was to go a bit wonkers, WP w/15 BC in a Stormwolf WP w/15 BC in a Stormwolf Keep them cheap and Outflank them in to smoke enemy flyers or cover advancing CAD Troops. After tallying up that load, I got to thinking that it might need to. E toned down. WP w/15 BC in a Stormwolf WGBL w/9 GH in a Rhino Firepoint on the Rhino allows for some drive-by plasma while flyer comes in does what it needs to before dropping off a bunch of hel. I am really interested in getting some out flanking units like the old codex without relying on a chance roll of the traits. the jeske
Bad idea should not be runing singles. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295088-wolves-unleashed-and-a-cad/#findComment-3775529 Share on other sites
Grimtooth
I am thinking the same thing regarding the flyers. I have run single GH packs out flanking in last edition with huge success. What I am wondering is that even with a single flyer, being able to outflank opens up a very high chance of being able to maneuver for rear army shots on enemy flyers. In addition I am wondering that since I can choose to fail or pass reserve rolls with Wolves Unleashed, if this would lessen the danger of running single.
