skeletoro
I am starting to wonder if wolf scouts with cloaks may actually be decent if combined with a character bringing stealth (Saga of Hunter) and/or shrouded. For instance, they might make a decent outflanking partner for Bran Redmaw - give them a gunslinger WGBL, throw in a couple of extra plasma pistols and perhaps even some shotguns, hell. If they outflank into cover they're at a 3+ or 2+ cover save. Dunno, just mulling it over. 16 points per model is pretty expensive given that they have only a 4+ save. Valor
I've found C:SM scouts work best as snipers w/ camo cloaks sitting as back field objective holders. Ours are BS4, so they would perform that role even better. Spazmonkey
Snipers with BS/WS 4, camo cloaks and shrouded if you can bring it... they could be fun. Though youd have to ask yourself could you use the points better elsewhere. Reede
Yea, Scouts with Camo Cloaks sitting in ruins (preferably on a point) are a dangerous foe. They'll be setting there with a 3+, if stealth / shrouded down to a 2+, and Snipers can be mean. While they're not 100% reliable, being able to wound ANY toughness on a 4+ is pretty crazy, my friends scouts have actually taken down a WrightKnight over several turns of shooting. Plus, here's what I love, it's one of the incredibly few things these days that has precision. Afraid of that powerfist wrecking your guys in melee? Shoot the snipers at him and (while rare) you stand a chance at a AP2 wound that he can't Look Out Sir off (now this works best on special weapons of course, but there's always the rare chance you could hit an Independent Character with a AP2 wound). While it's easy to look them over, they can really come through in those clutch moments.
