BladeGaurd
Codex Inquisition may become hard back. Source: http://natfka.blogspot.com/2014/08/the-future-of-warhammer-40k-and-fantasy_14.html Thoughts, opinions, comments. Other then the possibility of a plastic henchman box I am sort of meh on it. 40k had a lot of armies and if I wanted another hard back codex it would be Sisters Of Battle, Harlequins, Exodus Eldar, Dark Mechanicus, Genestealer cult or Lost and the Damned. Even if you count only hard back codexes as a codex imperium has 8 flavors, even though one is just a sub flavor of another. If GW where to add a new codex I would not want it to be an imperial and I especially do not want it to be a unit or 2 and transports. I believe the digital media for codex inquisition is fine and works well for what it is. Also they need to get back to fantasy soon.... rant for a different time. Bionicman
Will evaluate after more info. I will buy one codex GK OR Inquisition. Both might be a rip off but if Inq gets new models and rules they will interest me more. Valerian
That rumor is from Voice of the Chaos Gods, and they have an abysmal track record for rumor accuracy. To be honest, I don't know why Natfka still gives him airtime. BladeGaurd
Thanks for the heads up on that, luckily it does not really change my plans on expansions. Kenderleech
That rumor is from Voice of the Chaos Gods, and they have an abysmal track record for rumor accuracy. To be honest, I don't know why Natfka still gives him airtime. Nafka will give anyone who feeds him a voice, because anytime he can bump his site on blogrolls with "New Information" gets him clicks, which is eyeballs, which is ad revenue. I dont begrudge the man, but thats why. Kilofix
It is kind of a pain though whenever I play Inq and folks want to check rules and I have to pull out my tablet, etc. Moreso the case if / when the new GK Codex omits Inq. I wouldn't mind buying a hardback just for convenience. But, maybe I'm the one stuck in the stone age. Valerian
Can you print a copy for your personal use? You ought to be able to do that from a tablet, and just not print the fluff section, right? Nicodemus Doloroso
The local gaming scene has a certain bias against DLC only codices so tho would help me and they could no longer ban =][= from local tournaments on the basis it's not available in print. I would also hope hardback = a few more options. But on the other hand that could mean more changes to how henchmen work so maybe I'd better focus on the Scion portion of my army for a bit. Quozzo
I have a certain bias against people who ban things for silly reasons, like a codex not being physical. Who died at GW to make them decide what can and cannot be used. Sounds like a silly excuse for saying "I don't like it so I wont play against it because, well, err it's not physical so although I will never own it and it wont effect me in any way, then it gives me a reason to exclude it". Slave to Darkness
dont think anything should be banned, if its in print then its legit, if its online its legit, ban DLC lists, codexs, dataslates, knights because your group/torny think they are OP or not legit as they dont have a paper copy? cry me a river bitch, this is war, grow a pair and deal with it, war isnt fair, i dont recall hitler not using tanks when attacking because his enemies didnt have anything to take them out. yes the game is meant to be a giggle, but banning things people want to use is just crappy.
