Do you Paint the Interior of your Taurox (Primes)?

Recommended Posts

I'm in the process of building my first Taurox Prime with my son and am now debating whether it's worth the trouble of prainting the interior/crew or just glue it together and don't bother?

What do you folks think? Do you paint your interiors?

If there is a hatch that gives sufficient view of the interior, or if the top can be left unglued, then I'd go for it. I won a painting comp because I'd gone that extra step and painted the inside of a rhino once.

One thing that might tempt me to just glue it all shut would be if I wanted to use the crew/displays/innards for another project. For example I've seen the internal panels/display screens from a land raider kit used in terrain and dioramas to good effect.

I believe the Taurox top can be left unglued to give access to the interior. I guess it could get me some bonus points for painting but the skill at the tournament I frequent is way too high for me to crack the top ten no matter what I do. I am still on the fence.

For those who have painted Taurox interiors, how/when do you do it?

I agree with Kier. I only paint interiors if they're visible enough, for example the Valk and Land Raiders. People just don't really care much in my experience so there's no point otherwise unless you're a real stickler or are entering a competition. That said, apparently I'm weird for painting the underside of tanks to the same level as everything else so make of this what you will :P
