WGBL/Helm of Durfast manning Aquila Strongpoint

For just the price of less than three PFs, you can equip a WGBL with the Helm of Durfast and then have him man the Aquila Macro Cannon on the Aquila Strongpoint.

 

Since he is manning the Macro-Cannon, that means that he confers on it his BS5, his re-rolls to hit (so re-roll the Scatter dice) and his Ignore Cover.....this translates to two D Large Blasts a turn that roll a Hit about 50% of the time and, when they do scatter, scatter an average of only 2" (average 2D6 roll is 7, -5 from BS5, equals 2").... Not only is this likely to hit what you want it to, but it will also wound all targets on a 2+, often cause multiple wounds (due to D weapon), and ignore armor, but ignoring all cover makes it exponentially more lethal.

 

Not a cheap solution, especially since you are using a lot of points on the Aquila Strongpoint, but a very potent one in competitive games.
