13th co, lone wolves and TDA

Hey guys, wanted to collect some opinions. I try to run fluff type lists that keep with the 13th company background. I recently got the stormclaw box and its terminators but am unsure what to do with them. In the old 13th list, only the hqs got TDA. Should I run the new squad as a 5 man unit, or have 5 lone wolves?

Do whatever I say. As you said the old 13th Company list got some access to TDA, so doing either is fine, especially as you can't field legit Wulfen squads any more. Plus its been over a decade since the 13th got any dedicated fluff, and seeing how the scope of armies has increased in that time, Terminator squads in a 13th Company list wouldn't make me raise an eyebrow.

13th Company had terminator armour. Basically they use The Gate psychic power to move around within the warp, and because they cant use it on tanks, they dont have any transports. They have pretty much everything else. In the old list you could give Pack Leaders TDA, because they had access to the SW armoury.

As others have stated. Have at it! Tons of fluff reasons these guys may have terminator armor. (killed traitor marines took cache of armor, killed renegade marines took cache of armor, killed loyalist marines who mis took them for chaos marines and took armor. Gifted some armor by a Great company as part of repaid honour debt. lost cache of arms in the EoT. )

They also would have had some when they chased into the warp, in fact the HH CCG artwork depicts spacewolf terminators with bearing the logo of the 13th co. The current marks of TDA are not so far removed from those used at the heresy either.

If I recall correctly from FW, the TDA used during present time was also in use during the heresy.

Yes it was (which is why it's perfectly fine for chaos terminators to be wearing it). Since FW don't make any heresy-era indomitus pattern TDA, though, you're never going to see it depicted in HH art or represented in any kind of mini form, which is a shame imo. Iirc indomitus and tartaros armour were late-crusade indroductions like mkIV power armour, so cataphract was the standard form of TDA for most of the crusade -- edit: indomitus, infernus is the blood angel melta weapon, good grief,

Which one is Infernus? The GW kit is Indomitus (I think I've spelled that right). Although Extermination mentions the Alpha Legion using 5 different TDA patterns in their Paramar assault, so I'm hoping we may see more FW Terminator kits at some point.
