Grey Knights origins

Is Varren really that boastful?

Would make more sense if it were some IF or custodian.

And tell me Kol, is getting one fifth of your Legion killed in a single hour considered noble amongst the NL tongue.png ?

Varren's a World Eater, a warrior. Warriors like to know who they kill and in turn, they like to let whoever kills them to know their name. A warrior's deeds and name will transcend death. But only if they are passed on. Varren has lost his deeds as they are hidden in shadow. It is only fitting his name be lost as well.

And where did I mention something noble? I believe I used the word "ignoble", which means "not noble". Unless my public education has once again failed me. Curse you FCAT for making me learn the intricacies of grammar so I could get a stinking 4 on the writing portion just to pass!

Also, I am confused as to how Sevatar has any control over the Lion ambushing the Night Lords at Sheol. Is there a short story I missed?

So it can leave room for Garro to die which curiously Heathens wants a lot...I think we need to keep an eye on him just to be safe. It would also keep the formation of the Inquisition going forward.

Please, oh please, let Garro fall fighting Khârn.

*begins praying hard*

Why Khârn though?

Wouldn't it make symbolically more sense that he goes out fighting Typhus or Mortarion?

It's Heathens.

1.)It means he's taken a shine to Garro.

2.)In suitable grimdark fashion, Heathens wants him to die.

3.)In conclusion, Heathens then wants him to die by the hands of Khârn, who(as written by A D-B )a suitably epic character to carry out the execution.

You know me well, Kol.

Sev is Grand Master Khyron....I think. I mean check my sig. Does that quote not just scream Night Lord to you?

...also mainly because Khyron is sculpted on his tomb as wielding a nemesis halberd...and that chainglaive Sev always uses looks somewhat the same...plus he dies rather conveniently...

I mainly just want to believe. I mean, think about the kind of Knights Sev's training would produce. He was probably the most lethal warrior in the Legion Astartes bar the Primarchs and a few other exceptional Champions.

Jago Sevatarion.

He's the first person to say "Death to the False Emperor".

His hobbies include torturing Loyalists until they turn traitor.

Fans think he's a viable candidate to help found the Grey Knights.

Ooooooooooooookay.

Yeah that's exactly why I have trouble believing that too...

There is a list in the purge, with a whole 1 loyalist Night Lord in it. Doubtful he will be a grey knight as Garro's chap's aren't destined for that

No there isn't. There is a list in the Purge showing that the VIII Legion had a representative in the Crusader Host. And so did the Thousand Sons. And I believe it is my civic duty to remind the forum community that the Thousand Son in question received a vision from Magnus explaining the Heresy at large and containing orders to bring a specific astropath to Horus, orders which the individual attempted to follow until the time of his death. So being in the Crusader Host does not guarantee loyalty to the Imperium.

About Sevatar not turning loyalist because he's a psycho and like to torture and flay loyalists... You heard about General Butt Naked? He was a cannibal who killed children and ate their hearts and drank their blood (only one of the examples) during Liberian Civil War...he's a "pacifist" christian preacher now...And that's real life...

But either way, I don't think Sevatar could be the founder of the GK's, not one of the founders. I think that A-D-B denied it already.

Another thing I thought up while bored at work doing repetitive Restaurant tasks :

The Alpha Legion are known for their Secrecy. Omegon is the leader of the Effrit(sp?) Stealth Squad. A Stealth Squad in a Legion that revolves around Stealth, Secrecy and Manipulation.

Grey Knights are notorious (to use omniscient readers anyways) about their Secrecy and Leaving no witnesses. Their First Grandmaster was Janus. Omegon is a Stealth/Secrecy Leader for an elite subsection / formation in a Legion that's renowned for it.

I don't know, maybe I'm just grasping at straws since I slept for a whopping 3h30 mins last night BUT HEY IT MAKES SENSE IN MY HEADBRAINBOX!

. . . do you mean pacifist?

Maybe sevetar had a mind wipe. The Inquisition is notorious for doing that to people(even marines).

Yes. Clearly, if you want a founder of an elite warrior brotherhood to fight daemons, what you need to do is capture a man who talks to birds, eats people's eyeballs, and wants to horrifically murder you and everyone you know, and wipe his memory.

What do you people think Malcador was smoking during the Heresy, and where can I get some?
