Surely some sort of lid could be fitted? Or perhaps I could put forth the idea of a Sippy-Cup version of the Grail, allowing him to fight without worry. I submit the idea that they only put the blood in the Red Grail for the initiation ritual, and it is otherwise stored in something else while Corbulo is away from Baal. That seems very likely.
