scatmandoo
Can you build a list with guard primary and then allie in another guard force, or does it need to be another primary? Lucien Eilam
You can't take an Astra Militarum Allied Detachment if your Primary Detachment is AM. You can take any number of AM Combined Arms Detachments though, or any other valid Detachment/Formation. Not really a big deal for Guard - the main difference between Combined Arms and Allied is one mandatory Troops slot, and 10 Veterans is about as cheap as squads get. scatmandoo
Thats true and a good way to look at it. Thanks for the help. My fast attack slots fill up too fast! WarriorFish
Surely not? Even my uncontrollable love of the Fast Attack units still has room for me too play with (I have 4 Sentinels and 4 Hellhounds!). scatmandoo
I love sentinels, valk, vendetta and hound varient in all lists haha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295435-can-guard-allie-with-themselves/#findComment-3782788 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
That's a good point... I clearly don't love the Fast Attack slot enough Time to get more Sentinels I think, and open that Valkyrie box! ... after the Treads and Thrusters challenge of course... and after the other models I have planned... scatmandoo
I have had to leave out a hellhound or banewolf variant. Gutted. Check out my list in the list area though if you can and I welcome any comments before the game on Thurs eve. shandwen
If you are wanting more valkryies you could ally in scions, but regular guard have way more options, and per man are way cheaper. march10k
valks are kinda crummy for the cost. twice the price to make that chimera flying, and you lose superscoring in the bargain, that's the way I see it. But hellhounds and sentinels are fantastic.
