Ovidius Incertus Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I'm in the process of kitbashing up a Flesh Tearers reclusiarch and don't have any tiny wrist sized magnets to hand for the shooty weapon options. Is it ever worth the points to take something other than a bolt pistol? This will be a PA version, of course; I will be magnetizing for a jump pack. sockwithaticket Posted August 21, 2014 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Power Fist is quite a decent option to have, or, if you're going to be facing a lot of marines and aren't sticking him with Death Company, a power sword could be a decent way of getting around the Maul's AP4. Putting him in TDA is a waste, as he already has a 4++ and the storm bolter means you lose the extra cc attack, plus his unit loses sweeping advance. Curious if anyone runs theirs in TDA. I never run mine in TDA for the exact reasons you mentioned. Occasionally, I will pay to add melta bombs or a power fist, but most of the time I run my Reclusiarch with his default load out.
