Is anyone planning to convert/kitbash some?

They could be flavourful if done right.

An elite Catachan sniper (perhaps nicknamed Whitefeather) as a Vinidicare.

Perhaps Marbo could come back as a Callidus. His ripper pistol spitting out so many bullets it's represented by a template ;)

The Eversor and Cullexus....more difficult.

Thoughts?

I'm slowly making some Ratling Squat snipers. I might jazz one up to be a counts as Vindicare. Huge anti-materiel rifle dwarfing him.

If I had to, but only if you say please :), I would probably use the DE Witches female body for an assassin or the Sorceress.

There was a great conversion on Dakka in a forum named "pimp my sorcerer" if I recall correctly.

That sounds like a "oh a squirrel" side project :D

I'd like to use the new assassins, but I'm still deciding on what would work best. I'm glad the Culexus has got an improvement - I can see him being very popular as a counter to psychic gimmicks which the competitive game might well need. Vindicare looks quite nice, but might be spending most of his time popping tanks..? Callidus was always my personal favourite but I'm not sure about the current guise and the Evesor is ok enough, feels like he should be a bit more special given he's supposed to be a fancy assassin.

I'd love to convert my own up, perhaps be really cheeky and model as "counts as any" assassin? I have no thoughts as to where I could start though, maybe with some DE bits as Mustard said. I'll be giving it some thought, the biggest obstacle would be finding the time right now confused.gif

this is the right idea! lol more hot chicks that kill things needed in 40k! I was thinking of using these models or converting around the death cult assassins models!

I've gotta admit, I actually like the old assassin models and plan on having them, in the sense that I ordered the two I didn't already own already from my FLGS. All the same, these are some nice thoughts. Might have to use them for when I want to field more than one of a specific assassin.

Talented indeed! I don't think I can match that but everyone starts somewhere and you don't know until you try msn-wink.gif They're WHFB Elves right? I'm sure my DE can spare a Wych or two for some experimentation.

yep dark elves and a little green stuff and some skills

give it a try

it´s one of my favorite kits to work with

Here is what Baiyuan did on Dakka with the WF DE sorceress

Indeed, it'll be one of those small projects I squeeze between 'serious' units at some point.

:O Throne!!!

I just remembered, when I came out here to Japan I brought about six of GW's old -1980s perhaps- ninja minis I had.

I'm sure I haven't got rid if them so I must still have them...somewhere...in my suitcases of 'stuff I don't use' now stored at my parents-in-laws' place?

I have been promising to go over there and sort it all out...now might be the time... ;)

That just made my day.
