Nemesis Strike Force question...

I dislike 'comp'.

And now we're going to just ignore the fact that GW are forcing us to use more than two detachment, and we're ok with other people trying to say "no, not you guys."

We've been chopped up into three books base.

You want your old GK, Assassin, Coteaz army? That's *three* seperate detachments, before we even consider an ally.

For other players to deem that's not ok for us to use is frankly absurd.

You cannot limit the number of detachments nor formations a player is entitled to use any more. The core rules work *against* this notion.

I'd rather not take part in any event that tried this. It's madness and folly. And we should *not* support it.

But if you don't limit the number/source of detachments you end up with ridiculous things like a battle-forged army with six Nemesis Dreadknights! smile.png

Back on topic, I fought against the Nemesis Strikeforce last night and it is absolutely brutal if built appropriately. My opponent was extremely lucky in getting the warlord trait that allowed him to reroll reserves but that meant on the first turn he had a NDK, Librarian, 2 big squads of Terminators and an Interceptor sqaud all land within inches of my army, run and then open fire. I was able to withstand the firepower with minimal damage but forced to spend my first turn basically repositioning my entire army to avoid turn 2 assaults and I had to sacrifice my Wraithknight to buy the rest of them time. Managed to squeak a draw in the end but if the game had gone on to turn 6 I would have lost heavily.

The Nemesis Strikeforce is undoubtedly the way forward for Grey Knights.

Did you guys never play against the orignal Chaos Daemons?

Half the army Dsing inches away from yu first turn.  The other half coming in without scatter off of icons turn 2+.

Three Flamers would drop, and roast an *entire* Marines 10 man squad (before thier wd uber buff).

Now, we get in on the fun!

Not the only way, we have Allies ;) but yes, for a pure force, you'd be mad not to take it\

Ssssh...we don't tell the newbies about those days of blood. When the sky rained gore, and the laughter of thirsting gods echoed through the hallways of tournaments...when...(shudder)...Daemons were competitive....

On a more serious note, we don't have AP3 flamers, so no we're not as scary.
